The legendary trader Paul Tudor Jones once said,  

"I'm always thinking about losing money as opposed to making money.

Don't focus on making money, focus on protecting what you have."  

As a fellow trader, I couldn't agree more with this statement.  

Let me share a personal anecdote that highlights the importance of protecting your capital in trading.  

A few years back, I was on a winning streak, and I became obsessed with making more money.  

I started taking larger risks, and before I knew it, I had wiped out a significant portion of my gains.  

It was a wake-up call that shifted my focus from making money to protecting my capital.
